HI All,
I am male engineer from India with 645 in GMAT and 5 years of work ex in consulting (3 years in Redseer Strategy Consultants and 2 in CRISIL Limited). I applied to 1 year MBA programs with score and work ex in round 3 of IIM A,B,C and PGP at ISB.
I got interview calls for IIM A and C only and no admits. Now I am confused on what to do next. Basis my current salary IIM L and IIM Indore would not make sense as I am already earning more than their average placement CTC. I am thinking of applying in round 3 of NUS and NTU but the chances of admit from these schools are low. Should I wait for one more year and apply in round 1 of IIM A,B,C , ISB and these Singapore based schools. Or try my luck in NUS or NUT for round 3.
Also, Can Master Union be an option?
Thanks,
Arpit Jain
Hi Arpit,
I am chiming in a little late, but I think you should wait and reapply in R1 of the Indian programs + do Singapore b-schools- everything in R1 this year.
Your timing could have been late last year. More important, your application material was probably not so great, especially if you sent out rushed applications. You should therefore evaluate your last year's applications and understand what didn't work in your favour. Rectify those mistakes and submit overall better applications.
Your profile looks very competitive for the Indian b-schools you have mentioned. However, you should consider if you want to be in a more diverse classroom or more global experience or access to recruiters outside India. The Singapore programs would help there. You may also add a few European MBA programs, if a career outside India attracts you.
I'd be happy to chat further if it helps you.
