I need support for my retake of GMAT focus exam.
I recently gave GMAT exam with a total of 605 --> Q84/V77/D79.
In Quant, 1 got only 2 question incorrect one from Factors, one from inequalities, but because of the harsh scoring algorithm scored only 84, really disheartening.
In Verbal, I scored well below my expectations in all my 1-6 Official mocks, I scored an average of V80-81. Seeingn that score on the exam day, really broke me from inside.
In DI, I performed carefully in the exam, and score above my expectations. On the test day out of 7 DI questions wrong, I got 5 in Data sufficiency, out of which 3 were Non-Math related DS questions.
On all my official mocks I scored somewhat in range of 635 --> 645.
My concern/queries are, What should I do right the next time?
--> These are the steps that I think I should do :
For Quant, resolve the OGs questions and practice more and more,
For Verbal, Last time I deviated from OG and started solving from other sources...this time I plan to solve only from OG(resolve all the questions), But In any exam(real or mocks) I was never able to attempt more than 20 questions, leaving last three questions mostly from CR section. I was scoring around 70-80%ile in RC and 40-50%ile in CR(as I was skipping 3-4 questions..so It dropped considerably), To reduce my time taken per question, I am planning not to write anything on scratch pad and make mental notes for RC. In CR,I never write anything on the pad and still take around 2-2.5 min per question in analysing and assuring that I am reading all the details. Is there anything else that i can do to improve my score?
For DI, I am practicing all the OG questions again, this time making a mental note of why I got a question wrong.
I need to understand, if there is anything I can do better or avoid before my retake(planning it by End of July). Also What should be my section order for giving the test, Last time I gave Q--> V--> D. But I feel, the last few questions that i missed in Verbal were easy and that's why the score dropped. Same goes with first question of DI, which would be easy as I underperfomed in Verbal.
Below is my Time and Performance chart for each section
