Dear experts,
I took my gmat first attempt in mid December. I was scoring below my expectation on the mocks but mostly because of silly mistakes. I was pretty confident that I know the topics as I was able to solve majority of my mistakes on my own inside two minutes. However, I scored a dismal 515 on the actual paper and I don't know how I got that score. Never scored such a low score even in my mocks.
I'm really struggling to find the motivation to work hard on it again as I had giving a lot for the first attempt. I want to score somewhere around a 720 but don't know where to start.
Verbal is my strong point I was getting 83 marks on it while having to guess 4-5 questions, I know the topics in quant but for some reason beyond my understanding I'm not able to score in the mocks (if I get 8-9 incorrect I'm able to solve 6-7 of them immidiately after the paper inside 2 mins). DI I'm okay with scoring average marks I want to get good marks in verbal and quant.
In the paper I thought my verbal was terrible, I got 81 in verbal which is still terrible for me but when you compare it with quant and DI it was much better. I felt I was doing okay in quant and DI but evidently not.
I've tried stating again I've done a bit but the easy question seem too easy and I've solved majority of the
OG questions from gmat club. I'm trying to apply for the first round this year so planning to give the paper in April again but I haven't been able to start prepping again because of lack of motivation.
I will appreciate any suggestion which I can get on how to move forward in terms of my prep and what path to following.
Looking forward to hearing from the experts.
