There's no reason to shy away from Booth or Wharton with a 710. A GMAT score like yours is in the running for any school. As most others would agree, once you get pass that 700 mark, you're in the running; the decision to admit you will be based on your other part of the application. In terms of how to pick 3 or 4 schools out of the list, that really is a personal choice. Have you visited the schools yet? If not and you're not planning to, just go with your gut and with what research you have about them and decide. Do you like more city settings or more rural settings? Do you enjoy doing a whole bunch of casework? Do you want to be in a class of 800 or a class of 300? These are, of course, rhetorical questions that you'll have to answer for yourself. Some people care about where they study and there are others who want to be in a smaller class setting. This is all personal and you're going to have to make these final decisions for yourself.
