Hi João,

With 1.5-2 hours, you'll probably be better served by studying all in one 'shot' (since it takes a little time to 'get in the zone' of studying).

The scoring algorithm on the Official GMAT is far more complicated than most people realize, so you can't really think of all of this in terms of "percent correct." A far more useful gauge would be to review each CAT and determine how many questions you SHOULD have gotten correct, but didn't (due to a silly/little mistake). Those mistakes are the things that you have to fix to score at a higher level.

Hey EmpowerGmat!

I have been focusing on weak points and I´m taking the GMAT exam on Friday!

Right now I finished a gmat prep exam and scored 570. Still 30 points from my goal.
I scored Q39 and V29.

DS 44 and PS 36 (usually its the inverse, better on PS)
SC28, CR29, RC 31.

Quant I had 28/37 right! (4 out of the 9 wrong I could have got correct).
But still disapointed with this 39. Yesterday, I scored 45 on gmat club test (with 17questions wrong!!!)
3days ago scored Q40 with Veritas (and the incorrect ones, I could have got most of them correct).
Analysing the prep test, I got the first 3questions wrong on quant, do you think it is the point to the score to be dropped to a 39?

On Verbal I have been scoring V27/V29/V30.

1 have only the day of tomorrow left so I will do a review of SC concepts, and see my main mistakes.
I will do another gmat prep exam tomorrow and focus to improve Quant.

Do you have any tip concerning Quant or Verbal or in general?
Thank you for your help

Hi João,

Since your GMAT is in less than 2 days, you should NOT take another practice CAT. There would be no benefit and you would run the risk of 'burning out' before taking your Official GMAT. You would be better served by doing a bit of light review and getting some extra rest. With this last score, you could have easily scored above 600, but you mentioned how you made some little mistakes - and those mistakes are likely why you didn't score higher.
