I took the GMAT back in November and scored a 400, this shocked me, cancelled my score and had a panic attack.
I got a 470, 510 and 530 on my practice exams that are included in the kaplan test book.
Towards the end of the exam I felt so tired and just waned to get it over with so I did poorly at the end of the verbal section.
Any tips to score better on my next round? I take it this friday.

I'm sorry to hear that your prior Official GMAT didn't go as well as hoped. Unfortunately, if your next attempt is in 2-3 days, then there isn't enough time to make a meaningful improvement to your existing skill set. If you end up continuing to study beyond Friday though, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:
Studies:
1) How long have you studied?
2) What materials have you used?
3) How have you scored on each of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for each)?
Goals:
4) Why is your goal score 530? How do you know that you "need" that score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
6) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
