Hi ambera33,

Regarding scholarships, have considered reaching out to the folks in admissions regarding how your GMAT score may help or hinder your getting a scholarship? Also, if it turned out that you could get a scholarship with a higher GMAT score, would you consider a retake?

Hi ambera33,

Individual Scholarships will each have their own application requirements, so beyond discussing your situation with an Admissions Expert, you would likely need to research the various Scholarships that are available at each Program that you plan to apply to. I suspect that at some point you are going to come across some Scholarships that would require that you have a higher GMAT Score - so you will have to weigh all of the various factors (re: studying with the goal of scoring higher, applying sooner rather than later, applying for some Scholarships and not others, etc.) and decide whether retaking the GMAT is a worthwhile idea or not.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

Thanks for the feedback folks.

I have spoken to some of the alums about scholarships and got to know that the amount allocated to the weekend program is very less and usually only 750+ GMAT scorers are able to receive that.
I think I am okay with my GMAT score application wise - its at average or above average score for Booth & Ross.

So I guess Ill be going ahead and applying with my current 680 score.

On another note, do any one of you know about external scholarships one can apply to ? I tried to google it but couldn't find anything great; however, have heard from some people that some external scholarships are available.
