Dear All ,
I have taken GMAT yesterday and scored 650 ( Q50 and V26 ) .
I have scored very less in verbal inspite of only 8 mistakes out of 36. I am not able to figure out what went wrong .
Need Experts opinion .

Hi ankitbagla.
If you look at the Average Difficulty graph on your ESR, you'll see that, in the first and second quartiles of verbal, you missed some medium and easy questions and thus drove the average difficulty level of the questions you were seeing down pretty low. So, even though you got 100 percent of the questions in the third quartile and 75 percent of the questions in the fourth quartile correct, you were still at relatively low difficulty levels at the end of the section.
So, the reason you scored V26 even though you got all but 8 verbal questions correct is that the difficulty level of the questions you were seeing was relatively low.
One thing you could do next time to get more questions correct at the beginning of the verbal section is to warm up before you take the GMAT by answering some verbal practice questions so that, when you see the first verbal question on the GMAT, you're already in game mode.

Hi Ankit,
First off, a 650/Q50 is a strong Score, so it could be enough to get you into your first-choice School. As such, a retest might not be necessary. Depending on the Schools that you plan to apply to, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement (and the more time that you have to act on that advice, the better). Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for - as well as an analysis of your ESR - it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:
Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours did you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
