If the negated version I provided above is true, then it is not the case that "we can conclude that Chris must now want to see this movie." After all, if it is not necessarily the case that Chris wants to see a movie that Mike happens to have a positive opinion of, then it does not make sense to conclude that Chris wants to see this movie.

So, the negated version wrecks the argument, and (D) is the correct answer.
