Has anyone had any luck in negotiating to pay the first installment later? I have been accepted to the school of my choice but I am still waiting to find out whether I qualified for any tuition waiver. They gave me until March 19 to pay my fee. It is 9.500 euros. They said that even if I receive a complete tuition waiver, it's still my responsibility to pay the first installment and then I will get reimbursed later. What happens if I don't pay by March 19?
These are the reasons why I cannot pay:
- I can only go to a b-school if I get a scholarship.
- My country offers no loans. But I am willing to apply for a partial loan via school. I will start the process right away but I have no idea how long it takes.
- I cannot afford to pay the first installment. So paying first and getting reimbursed later is not even an option for me. I am in such a financial hole that I cannot take a temporary credit from a bank. I don't know anyone who could even lend me this kind of money.
Does anyone here any experience in this matter? Or am I just too poor to go to a b-school?

Hi, there.
It sounds like you have very good reasons for asking for an extension from the admin office. Have you called them directly to speak about this issue? I think if you shared with the admins your current financial situation, they would be open to working something out with you.
