I'm not sure about US schools but I know that Oxford & Cambridge hold a joint recruiting event every year.

I have heard of schools combining for social events in cities where they do not have enough alumni of their own - but that's something for post-graduation. For current students, I think there are a lot of competitions that naturally attract rival schools. For example, I know that Darden, Duke & UNC will all have substantial representation at events like the MBA Games (Fuqua), Innovation Challenge (UNC) and MBA Softball tournament (Darden).

At sports events (eg: Wharton rugby cup, MBA Olympics, etc.) or competitions several schools network.

There is networking between MIT and Harvard. This is caused by the schools close proximity.

MIT and Harvard have cross registration which lets students take 2 classes total at the other institution.

There is a lot of informal networking. It is hard to go out in central square without running into both Harvard and MIT business school students.

There are a fair amount of students whose partner attends the other institution.

I am fairly sure there are a few mixers organized as well.
