I am planning to take the gmat, but i havent done maths for solid 7 years now. But i used to be pretty good at it although i have forgotten the basics. Is it good for me to take a prep course or can i redeem myself with the youtube resources available? I tried taking a class physically in my country but the class was rather fast paced and i was lagging behind which made me quention my ability to take the test. I am not working at the moment and an willing to practice 6hours a day for 6 days a week. Can someone give me a good suggestion?

I had bought online kit for the official gmat 2024/25. And i have few books from kaplan as well.

As for Verbal part i tend to overstress on details, and get caught up.
Hi TsheringP,

Either free or paid prep options (or both) could work, but this really is your call. Have you tried any YouTube courses or demos/trials of paid courses yet?

Hi TsheringP,

I think a prep course is a great idea. You should check out the course reviews here on GMAT Club and then sign up for a few trials to see which course works best for you. Also, here is a great article you can check out:

Since you're willing to dedicate time and practice, you can rebuild your math skills with YouTube resources like Magoosh or Target Test Prep at your own pace. Start with the basics and gradually advance. If you need more structure later, consider an online course, but there's no rush. Use the GMAT official materials and Kaplan books for practice. For the verbal section, focus on reading strategies to avoid overanalyzing. Regular, consistent practice will help you regain confidence and succeed on the test.
