Hey everybody,
I want to make the GMAT-Exam at February 2015.
Today I tested my Skills in a first GMAT-Text (veritasprep).
My score is only 500 (IR: 5 of 8, Quant: 37 of 60, Verbal: 22 of 60).
To appraise myself:
Target: Score > 700
I know, that my english skills are very bad, that's why I'm now for 3 month in New York for an internship. I've 2 more month to improve my english skills in New York.
About myself: I'm 22 years old, I'm studying Business Informatics and working in a german bank (Controlling and Regulatory Reporting).
My studies will end at September, 2015. After it I want to make a Master in Management at a really good business school to learn more about other cultures and languages.

Hi there,
Improving 200 points is tough but you have nearly a year to do it. Living in the U.S. will certainly help your English. Before you officially start to study for the GMAT, perhaps you should make a big effort to read publications in English; Read newspapers like The New York Times, the Washington Post and The Economist. You'll soon get a better grasp of English grammar concepts.

My plan is to learn the grammar with some grammar pages and reading some articles about banking. Also I'm learning right now with the e-GMAT application.
Starting to learn with the manhattan GMAT full collection do I schedule at the end of August, because of my first target (August 21st TOEIC score ~950).
Also I like to learn the with the math section of GMATclub app for iPhone while I'm sitting in train.
I hope that my target is realistic and reachable for me.
