Hi all,
I've worked at a VC focused on debt solutions for about four years. When I joined back in 2020, the fund had just been set up, and I was one of the early team members. Over the years, the fund has grown exponentially and is now an established debt fund in the venture ecosystem in my country.
I wish to move to an equity VC. I have a keen interest in impact investing and have received an offer from the largest impact fund in my country. However, impact VCs tend to pay less, and I am expecting no salary increase or a minimal increase compared to my previous salary. The institution, however, is much larger compared to the previous one.
Would switching jobs with no increase or a minuscule increase in pay impact my chances of admission? I will be applying to the top 10 schools in the US, as well as INSEAD and LBS in Europe.
