PS. The new gmat prep may be online. Just FYI. If you were not worried enough already :-)
They're planning to keep the software version for at least a year so that test takers have an alternative. I'm sure there will be at least a few bugs and server problems in the online version, especially right after launch.

I hope they do it gently too... we’ll know soon enough. If they don’t do it gently, I would recommend not upgrading gmat prep until AFTER you take test #2.

At the same time, do you remember the OG 2018 transition to the new platform last year? Nothing was saved or migrated :(

Does anyone know if the new shorter GMATPrep software will upgrade on top of the already downloaded software that I have?

I already took GMATPrep #1 test and I have #2 to do now. But if the new version comes out, I don't want to "reset" my questions (assuming that the new version doesn't recognize any of the questions that I had already finished in the past.

Does anyone know if the new software will just "update" the previous download I have, so that I don't have to lose my data?

Hi there,

We will only know it after 27th.. Till then all we can do is guess.

as bb mentioned.. its better not to upgrade.. if there are drastic changes at once
