My name is Chinmay and my middle name is Balakrishna and my last name is Joshi.
In my passport my name and middle name are together which is the format of Indian passporst. But in my other documents my name is Chinmay B Joshi.
While applying for gmat should I enter my name as Chinmay and my middle name as Balakrishna, or enter my name as Chinmay Balakrishna combined and skip middle name.
Because they have mentioned that if the information dosent match with passport i wont be allowed to give the test and have to reschedule again after paying the complete fee.
Hi. You want to head over tob.a.com or just Google for GMAT identification requirements. Look up the version of the test that you will be taking, there is a difference between GMAT at the test center and GMAT online.
Based on the information that it provides to you, for example the GMAT test center requires a passport for someone with Indian citizenship, so they will be looking at your passport and comparing your name to your passport. They do not care about any other spelling or version of your name except how it appears in your passport.
Similarly, if you are a citizen of a different country or you taking the online version of the test in which case they may take a different type of identification, you want to match your identification.
Ideally, your names would be the same everywhere to avoid all kinds of fun things when it comes time to get a student loan or get a visa or something else... Just avoid having extra hassle. And I’m sorry if it’s not possible but as long as you match the spelling in the document, you should be good.
