The Manhattan guide is quite succinct already, so basically no chapter is "optional".
But fair to say that Assumption, Strengthen and Weaken are the most tested question types.gmat-syllabus-for-focus-edition-424188.html

Hi, I attempted the first practice test on the official website a couple of days ago without any preparation and was able to score 715. I’m not sure if this was a fluke because from what I have searched online this seems to be a pretty good score. I’m pretty sure I made a couple of silly mistakes in QR and DI. My target school is ISB and the application deadline is in December so I have quite some time to improve. I was thinking of attempting the practice tests 2 but seeing that in total only 6 tests are available, should I give the test now or prepare for a month or so and then attempt it? Are there any other ways I can evaluate my score?
