Hello all!
I've been peaking through this forum for some months now but am now beginning the GMAT process. I am not applying until fall 2012 at the latest so I have some time but the sooner the better!
I was hoping I could get some feedback on my study plan. My goal is 700+, ideally 720+. My math will be weaker, perhaps much weaker than my verbal which I expect to be very strong. I did very well on the LSAT and while I know they are not identical, my verbal is typically very good. My math is not terrible but I will need to work very hard.
I have bought all the
MGMAT workbooks (both math and verbal since it was cheaper).
I am starting with math and going through each workbook. Some concepts are basic but I think it's a good review. How should I balance out going through concepts/foundation review and doing actual questions? Should I be doing the purple GMAT review book in conjunction with the workbooks? There arent many actual practice questions in the workbooks...
I am taking my first diagnostic this weekend. I will take a diagnostic every other weekend until it gets closer to the exam date-- I will up the frequency of the practice exams a month prior. I'll have access to the 2 free gmat tests, the
MGMAT tests and hopefully GMAT Club exams. I'm concerned about running out of practice questions throughout this process- especially on the math side...
After dedicating 4-5 weeks to the math section, I will work on verbal through workbooks+practice questions/exam but I suspect will be a bit easier than the math section for me. I will also make an
error log. I hope to take the exam end of Dec but if I need more study time, I'm flexible. I am trying to study 8-10/hours a week since I am also working my job.
Any feedback?
Thanks! Good luck to all!
