Haddy,
Rhyme and I are the same age. We're not 'old', but at this point, we're all older than the current 'average age' at most business schools. The number of years of work experience average is now 4 years. I have 5 and will have six if/when I go. I think the same is true for you. You, presumably, have 8-10 years of work experience. That is more than the average. Are you too old? NO! Absolutely not! However, have you considered the Executive MBA? If I don't make it in this year, I will consider that, since I'll be eligible in 2-3 years.
I would prefer to do the 2 year gig.

Petro - guess the comments came from my original reply to rhyme, it was a light hearted remark, but yeah -for e.g. I'm 33, I have 10 years of experience, sort of twice the avg. experience in usual 2 year business schools. I'm looking exclusively at 1 year programs in leading schools around the world, unfortunately the US really lags in that list. Right now my shortlists for admissions in either 2007 or early 2008 are INSEAD, IMD, ESADE, ISB (India), IIMA (India, PGPX) and IIMC (India, PGPX). I would be interested in hearing others plans.
