i am taking the gmat tomorrow and i feel pretty good about it... i have studied a lot, practice scores look good, etc. but i do have one concern: timing. i know we are not allowed to bring a watch into the test, but i have seen a number of people on this forum write things like "i got to the last question with 10 minutes left" etc. how do they know this? is there a timer on the screen? my understanding is that there is no timer.
if there is no timer, how are people keeping pace? i think i have an okay "internal clock" that tells me when to move on, but i am a little worried about the RC section, where i tend to spend the most time per question (that's including the reading time, which is considerable since i go fairly slowly here - 3-4 minutes to read the longer passages). SC and CR are pretty fast for anything below 700 level. i DO NOT want to run out of time.

There is a timer, right on the screen, upper right corner, as I recall. So you will absolutely be able to clock yourself. There is an option to hide the timer, if you don't want to see it, but I can't imagine that would be helpful to anyone...
