Hi all
I just joined this club today and have started reading all the posts. My problem is about which book to buy for studing purposes.
I came across quite a few useful books that you guys have suggested on this website. But because I'm operating under a limited budget ($60-80 CAD), I'm just wondering if you can provide me one to three books that will cover all the topics plus useful sameple tests in it, so maybe I can choose one or two?
I already have one book in mind, which is the Cracking the GMAT with CD ROM 2004 by Princeton Review. Will this be a useful one?

Hi,
A lot of ppl have recommended the OG guide (which include some questions that are also in the CD (powerprep) that you could d/l on the web. It's a good material to get since you could refer to the questions any time, not just the on the CD. Aside from that, I got the impression that most people would buy both Kaplan and Princeton. This is because Kaplan's questions are said to be harder than the actual test while Princeton's questions are easier. (powerprep/OG usu should give you the best indication of where you stand). Of course, if you are constrained by budget, you could always go to you local library to get any other materials that are available. However, you may also be interested about the test papers that's available for sale on mba.com. This will give you more practice (another source that should measure your score more accurately). Definitely get the PR book - it is the best one for strategy. The practice tests are also very good, and they come with full answer explanations for each question. I didn't think they were too easy - they were pretty on target, especially for verbal.
Official Guide is also a must. Just do the Powerprep tests (the download the other poster was referring to) before doing the OG, because several questions overlap.
I didn't use Kaplan so I can't comment on them.
