We've learned that the 11th edition of the Official Guide will be in bookstores in summer 2005. It will differ significantly from the 10th edition. It will have approximately 800 questions - fewer than in the 10th edition, but with more detailed explanations of their correct answers. As with all Official Guides, these will be actual test questions that were recently retired from the GMAT. Questions will be presented in order of difficulty, giving users a better chance to understand what constitutes an easy or hard question. The 11th edition will also contain two extra supplements of about 300 questions each (using material in the 10th edition) for verbal and math questions. Unless you're taking the GMAT in the very near future, we recommend waiting to buy this updated edition. In the meantime, the 2001 10th edition remains the only book on the market that has actual questions from prior tests. This book, along with an "unofficial" GMAT strategy test-taking book will be all that you should need.
