Hi All,
 Nice if you give feedback about the schools I should consider for MBA. I want to move towards consultancy. 

Profile 
Experience 7 years. 
Last 3 years 5 months in Intel India. Worked in Intel US for 7 months. leading a team of 12 people. 
3 years in Tata Consultancy Service India

Qualification: B.Tech Computer Engineering (76.45%), Diploma in Management (63%)

GMAT: 720

Other Activities: Actively monitor the stock markets. Created own portfolio and invest in it. Active swimmer.

What is my chance at Harvard, Wharton, Kellogg, Columbia? What other schools should I consider?

Indian background + IT = a huge number of applicants. Your GMAT score is likely low for this profile. It's still good, and I don't recommend retaking it, but keep in mind that a 720 for the Indian IT group is probably only average or a little below average. Being Indian IT immediately weakens your application, but the fact that you work for Intel does help. Everyone else is IIT + Tata. Your other activities are poor. You need some kind of real and meaningful leadership oriented extracurriculars. Investing in the stock market is not an activity. Now I'll tell you what I think about your chances. Just being honest here, dont get mad

Harvard, virtually non-existant. I say this because there are a million IT applicants, and another million Indian applicants, with high GPAs and higher GMATs as well as strong extracurriculars. You have a good GPA, but not strong for your demographic, your extracurriculars are extremely weak. Kellogg, slim unless you beef up those extracurriculars. Columbia, I do not know enough about to comment.

What activities shall be considered good as extracurricular activities. I am active am follower of capital markets I have lot of interest in economics and political science. Since this does not form part of my work I consider this more of an hobby or self interest. I read magazines and economic times newspaper to understand this topics. In my younger days i was long distance marathon runner. I won bronze medal in inter school tournament. Now i am an active swimmer. 

I have been consistently rated above average by my manager since last 4 years in annual appraisal here in Intel. 

Is something like community service necessary for admission to schools like Harvard? Nice if you help me know with some examples about other meaningful work that will not help increase my chances but also help manage my team in Intel better or make me a better leader?

What are my chances in University of Chicago, Wharton, Ross, MIT, Hass, Duke, Columbia, Tuck, Cornell, INSEAD and NYU? I am in process of evaluating my chances before i decide to apply any where?

I would diversify your portfolio beyond the ultra elites. I respectfully differ with your process- I would focus on the schools that genuinely interest you rather than focus on the chance of admission.

Hi, 
First thanks a lot for your comments. I did not mention my extracurricular as such. 

I work for a charity a organization called Mukta Foundation. I teach Maths to deprived kids there. I collect donation from my office colleagues and try to help this childrens. 

In my engineering college days i took the initiative for the formation a technology club with primary focus on embedded technologies. The knowledge gained there helped to get my present job at Intel. 

In my younger days i was long distance marathon runner. I won bronze medal in inter school tournament. Now i am an active swimmer. Other then this I play Cricket. Actively participate on annual sports arranged by Intel. 

I have been consistently rated above average by my manager since last 4 years in annual appraisal here in Intel. I suggested a new idea in my field of work and now the company is in the process of filing a patent for it in US patent office. 

I am active am follower of capital markets I have lot of interest in economics and political science. Since this does not form part of my work I consider this more of an hobby or self interest. I read magazines and economic times newspaper to understand this topics. 

I guess I am not very good at describing myself. Above is some background of the activities I do or did. It will be nice if you evaluate my chances at the 

Wharton, kellogg, MIT, Darden, Duke, Michigan, Georgetown.

Nice if you refer some schools in europe which are good in consultancy. How will you rate HEC paris, RSM, SDA Bocconi, INSEAD, LBS and Cranfield. 
What are my chances in this schools? Which one is best for consultancy?
