Bring a tiny bottle of the antibacterial stuff, and after you shake hands, ask the other person if they would like a droplet, haha.

best case: they will think you are considerate and thoughtful.
worst case: "wow this kid is a weirdo"

Think about it this way... since you're sick, they view it as a challenge, if you embrace it and work your way through it, it'll make you look that much better. good luck.

This is probably too late but I'd also ask the interviewer if it's okay to carry a bottle of water in with you. (something like "My throat's a bit sore, do you mind if I bring in water so I don't cough all over you?" - or better phrased prolly) Then during the interview, sip the water between longer questions...will help relieve the dryness and whatnot.

Also if you cough during the interview, cough into the left hand. Then you can shake hands with the right one without worrying about the anti-bacterial stuff....

Above all, don't worry about it! Everyone gets sick at some point - I'm sure the interviewers are used to it, especially with flu season starting up soon.
Best of luck!
Hope this helps!
