A should be it (1min 26s)

<incorrect as repudiated is too strong>

<"better riddance" and hence it did not reinforce, rather revolutionised the traditional way of looking at art>

I think it is C.
It is clearly between A & C.

A - There is no deemphasis here. But, there is repudiation(refusal to recognize) of the type of aestheics. The part of the sentence "It is one of the permanent gains ...........that we are rid of this type of aesthetics"

You get rid of something when you refuse to acknowledge it or you donot like it at all.

Paul or Olegc may wanna jump in here to clarify the answer.
