Hello everyone!!!
--> My name is Shyamal ,I appeared for GMAT 10 days back & got a
670..Verbal - 33 & Quant - 48...AWA - 4.0--> My goal was a 700 but could not get it,though , to be honest , I thought I would be very near if not past the score of 700 after my exam got over.But still I am happy with what I have got.
-->
My Preparation : I work for the Largest Private sector organization of India.I have more than 3 years of experience with the same company.I took a leave for 15 days prior to the exam.I gave everything I could in those 15 days.I gave an exam on 1st day of preparation to know where I was , & to my astonishment I had touched the low of 550.I was horrified at that stage,but did not lose my hope.In fact I became more determined.I went through a rigorous process for the next two weeks. I focused on giving as many full length exams as possible to get myself acclimatized to real GMAT exam.Sometimes I would find myself giving 3 exams in a day...because of not getting desired scores.But I never lost hope as i knew my efforts would not go in vain...In my preparation I focused on solving GMAT - OG13.There is no alternate for OG.Its like bible for GMAT students.
I gave 1st GMATPrep just one week before exam & got 610.Kaplan tests were giving me torrid time , so I didn't touch them in last week.Just 2 days prior to exam , I gave 2nd GMATPrep & got a 680 (V-33 , Q-49 ).
-->
My Advice : I strongly urge prospective exam takers to use scores obtained in GMATPrep as the yardstick to predict actual GMAT score.Use other exams just to find out newer questions.
-->
My questions :--> Should I send my AWA for a recheck as I am not satisfied with my AWA score of 4.0???
--> Will it hinder my chances of getting into a top50 B-School???
--> With the above score , what are my chances to get an admission into a top50 B-school in US for Fall-2011?
------I wish all the prospective exam takers all the very best...------------------
