Hi All,
I wrote GMAT prep test-1 today and scored 650 ( Q 49, V 30). Was scared to get overconfident after seeing an inflated score. So I deliberately made some 7-8 answers wrong because those were the questions that I had seen in past. In sentence correction I made some silly mistakes and got 4 Questions wrong. Please suggest me if what I did was correct or not.Whether I should not do the same thing in verbal section, which I did in test-1, in test-2.
Also I am not able to boast my confidence level in CR questions.Even after practising a lot I am ending up getting less accuracy in CR questions.
Now after analysing my previous tests , I blame nervousness for the low scores. Because in both the tests, in which I scored low, I got very nervous in the middle of Verbal part.(maybe due to lack of time or due to seeing a tough question). Please help me what should I do to get rid of the anxiety during the test.

Hi Experts,
I am re-taking GMAT on 20th may 2012.On my previous attempt( jul 2011) I scored 600(Q48,V25) and have started my prepr again from march 2012.After initial score improvements in a couple of mocks I felt dejected when I last week took Prineton Review free online test(TPR) and scored a 600 (Q45, V 25) again.I have scored extremely well on MGMAT tests( never less than 670, with always a 30+ in verbal. In Kaplan CD tests I scored (590 and 620) Yesterday again I took the free MASTERGMAT test and scored a 600( Q45 v29) and all my confidence is gone. Now I am confused whether should I really go for a retake and not feeling like studying anymore.
I have completed the following materials:
1) E-GMAT SC and CR courses
2) GMAT Prep CR,SC and RC questions
3)MGMAT SC guide.
4)GMATCLUB questions or SC,CR and RC difficulty wise(stll doing)
5)Powerscore CR bible
6)OG 12 all verbal questions
Please suggest me what should I do next.( if there is any strategy to capitalize the remaining days)

Your quant knowledge will get >45-47 score. Work on your weak areas and try to master backup methods of solving a prob such backsolving, number substitution... these techniques come in handly in difficult problems, saves time on the easier ones too...Check out Ron's recent video on backup methods.. Check out Bunnel's signature and work on the difficult DS and PS problems...Practice sessions should maximize your learning..you intent should be to LEARN from the problems not to solve as many problems as you can. I suggest you to take a set of 10 problems and find out different ways to solve the problem......

For the Verbal section,
SC : check out my blog..just google "how to prepare for GMAT sentence correction GMAT Kolaveri". Since you are at the end of your prep , I suggest to tweak you SC practice session. Find out why the correct option is correct and why the wrong answers are incorrect.

CR: Improve you logical thinking. Donot follow a set of rules suggested by the books such as powerscore CR bible. They will help on the easier ones but on the 700+ level questions what will help you is logical thinking. When practicing, try to "pre-think" before jumping into the answer options.....

RC: Practice after practice and built a strategy that suits you.
