No of B-schools option during GMAT registration.

Hi,
As we know GMAC provides us an option to apply a few B-schools.
I would like to know, what is the procedure to send GMAT score to B-schools through GMAC.
When shall we have to do that - While taking GMAT date or after results.
Also, up to what no. of B-schools, we can send a score through GMAC.
I have no clue of this. I am going to take the exam date soon. So I feel important to know about it.
Please help me know these few facts

Just after you are done with the GMAT in the test room, you will be prompted to choose upto 5 schools where you can apply. So you should be prepared with 5 schools to apply before writing the GMAT. If you are not prepared you can choose not to send to any school and later you can send the scores to the schools you select. But the problem here is you have to spend more money from your pocket.

Also could you please tell what happens when we choose and send scores to B-schools through GMAC. Do we get any acknowledgment from b-schools immediately or only when they have their admission round to come and at that time they reply, as such.

Also, any B-schools selection guide or any such post if you could suggest.
