I just sat for the exam, and discovered the GMAT Focus Edition doesn't include the official practice exam feature of enabling screen window adjustment. I saw a tremendous score drop! Perhaps this seems silly, but I think the ability to adjust the window to fewer words per line gave me a better sense of every trap GMAT lays out. Does anyone know from experience whether smaller screen laptops result in fewer words per line than on bigger laptop screens? I'd test out Practice Exams 3 and 4 on a smaller laptop on full screen mode to figure this all out, but my experiences have also demonstrated that the real exam doesn't perfectly conform to the functionality of the practice exam.
Worst comes to worst, I can potentially adapt to the actual exam constraints. I just do feel upset that to any extent this should have been part of my preparation, I was misled by the practice exam not to put it into my preparation. Minimizing the impact of this feature would be helpful.
Hi EnterpriseInquiry,
This is most likely because the official practice tests run in your browser, whereas the actual GMAT is an app or software of some kind. You can try to adjust your screen resolution and/or zoom level to get the practice tests to look more like what you saw in your actual exam.
