Hi Guys,
I am from an underrepresented industry of India- Finance
Here is my profile,
Age: 24
Undergrad: Bachelors in Commerce (3 Year Course), Finance Specialization.
Qualification: CFA L3 Passed
GMAT: 710
Work Ex: 1.1 Year in a BIG 4. 2.3 Years in a pharmaceutical company, audit and corporate finance. Got 2 promotions in the latter company. Worked directly
under the general manager. Procurement, E-Commerce and Store to Store sales etc
EC: Lots of NGO work. I have been working with destitute women, orphanages and mentally challenged.
I have been helping undergrads of my undergrad college for business competitions. Head a camp for tree sampling every 3 months.
Have won awards for my college at regional and national level competitions. One of my social project got funded by a Blue Chip company. Have attracted a BIG 4 to fund my college social activities. Published a paper on student and social entreprenuership.
My short term goal is work in corporate finance. Long term goal is to become a partner in BIG 4 or any other financial service comapies.
I see that my fellow applicants are mostly IT guys who are looking at management consulting or IT services, which I have zero knowlodge. So not applying to colleges
that are MC or IT heavy.
I have shortlisted a few schoools,

Gerogetown
Tippe
NUS
Rice
Can you guys please suggest some other good schools for Financial Services.

Hey Al,
So your profile has lots of promising items in it! And seems pretty darned strong to me!
The only real piece of the puzzle I am missing is any info about your UG schooling: school name and GPA and ECs etc. I'll just go under the assumption that you didn't attend an IIT/NIT, otherwise you would have told me
.what I like is though that you have some really good stuff - Corporate Finance in a very hot industry, with clear backup from a years experience in Big4. You have tons of NGO work, and have the CFA (in itself it may not matter but all together along with the other things, it builds an impressive profile). I think your "Sweet spot" of application would be in schools ranked 5-25 in the US (and equivalent in other countries).
If you elaborate a biiiiit more about your goals (CF? Pharma? something else?) I can make you some more specific suggestions, r.e. school selection.
