Right there with you. Thinking about apps is a daily mental roller coaster of "It will be fine, don't worry about it." "To, ohmygod, I'm screwed, I'm not going to get in anywhere."

But I'm sure we'll all be fine. Don't worry about it. :-D

At least you get to apply! I'm losing my mind because I'm not applying until next Fall.

I know the feeling. This is my third application season on GMAT Club and I'm finally in the game. As nervous as the whole process can make you, it feels good to finally give it 100% effort and jump right in :)

I'm assuming I'm getting dings from both my R1 apps. I've just mentally convinced myself I've been dinged. That's the only way I'm actually able to seriously focus on my R2 apps! And then I probably won't be AS upset if n when I do actually get the dings.

Ps. I'm actually a very positive person - this is just a lame strategy to get me by this month.

Its definitely a sign that I am losing it, coz I am now tuned in to east coast time, and I am in India!! So i keep waking up in the middle of the night to check my email on my blackberry. I should really focus on the rest of my apps!!!!!

Good luck to everyone here, I am sure we will get out of this one with our sanity in tact....

This is a mental toughness thing.....its out of your hands now. if you've done the best you can, its in your best interest to rest easy. (easier said then done)

I have days where i feel I'm not getting in anywhere, then days where i feel i will be turning down Booth!

Either way its not causing me any stress because i know i cant do anything about it.

To the knowledgeable:

In my R1 apps, I put "Consulting" as the post-MBA career selection in the app itself, although I wrote "Corporate Advisory" as my career of choice in my essays.

Am I f*cked?

Not at all. I work in consulting and a lot of big 4 firms call their consulting practice "advisory." You're fine here.

I'm right there with ya.

I thank Booth and Wharton for giving us specific dates for transparency, but still feel anxious :x

After finishing my apps, I have too much time on my hands, and I dunno what to do until next week !!! Talking about MBA apps with non-MBA-prepping friends is conversation-stopper.

Anyway, back to refreshing my Yale page. Oh, I just did. What the heck, let's do it one more time.

Yeah I selected "Consulting" in the application as well even though in my essays I talk about M&A Advisory and Corporate Finance.
