NTU MBA vs NUS MBA
This comparison is done as part of the project wSTAT. For more Business school comparisons, check wSTAT
Learnings
- 1. The application process is almost the same for both NTU and NUS except that NTU requires one additional essay for scholarship. NTU requires a cover letter and NUS requires the applicants to indicate one MBA program as a preference. So, the average number of days to work on the application should be approximately the same.
- 2. NTU doesn’t accept PTE for English assessment. NTU requires TOEFL/IELTS for international applicants if English was not the medium of instruction. NUS accepts TOEFL/IELTS/PTE.
- 3. The duration of the MBA program at NTU is 12 months and the duration of the MBA program at NUS is 17 months.
- 4. There are many scholarships available at both NTU and NUS. So based on our research we believe, an applicant has a decent opportunity of getting a scholarship. So we figured that the lack of scholarship options won't be a primary reason to eliminate either school.
- 5. We observed that 94% of the students find post MBA career opportunities at NUS though School facilitated source. We don't have such information available for NTU.

- 8. Women account for 40% of the class at NTU. Women account for 35% of the class at NUS.
- 9. Internationals represent 88%(5-year average) of the class at NTU while Internationals account for only 54% of the class at NUS(class of 2016)
- 10. 20 nationalities are represented in a class at NTU while 28 nationalities represent class of 2016 at NUS
- 11. NUS has better ranking compared to NTU as per FinancialTimes(NUS #18, NTu #22) and BusinessInsider(NUS #40, NTU >50) rankings.
- 12. The cost of tuition and expenses are approximately the same at both NTU and NUS. One difference we have found is that the tuition fee needs to be paid over 3 trimesters and over 2 semesters at NUS.
