Hello Everyone - I wanted to check if the number of attempts to achieve a target score matter?

Say an individual started at 720 and after 2-3 attempts scored 760 vs someone who scored 760 outright (760 with same Q-V splits)

Would the second person get some sort of edge over the former?

I might be overthinking at this point but do adcoms really care about the number of attempts?

Hi logro,

You are overthinking this:).

The reality is, if were you to score 760 on your first try, you certainly would not be penalized for taking only one shot at the GMAT. So, honestly, don't worry about all this stuff. Just focus on crushing the GMAT.

The number of attempts doesn't matter. You don't have to worry about that. All the best :)
