Number theory and Inequalities issues

Question

Hi !!
For the last few days I have been practicing questions on number theory & inequalities but my performance in these topics not improving. What should i do ?
If I am average on these two topics but good in others, what are my chances of getting a 50/51 score in Quant section.
Please help.

Your chances will be reduced to some extent because Number Properties is extensively tested. If you are done with basics try moderate level difficulty questions to begin with and then move to higher difficulty level questions.

If you really want to improve, i would suggest you to look at Gmatclub math tests, part of premium membership. This alone should take your understanding of topics to another level....

In short, You can not give up on these topics...

You have been praticising...but what about the theory... What resources are you using??

Thanks for answering my query. For the theory I have mainly read Nova's Publication quant book & Quant book by Arun Sharma. Could you please suggest some other books to clarify basics further? At present my accuracy in these questions is about 50%.

I am not sure about nova content but it is definitely not one I have seen many people refer to..

Most of the guys will use mgmat,veritas among others...if you do not have those i strongly suggest getting those book sets or try GMATClub math book....it is good book and covers only GMAT math..

The topic of Number Properties is extremely important so you cannot ignore it. You have to be very good in it to get the 50/51 you desire. Also, inequalities will be tested at that level. Though the number of questions should not be more than 2-3 out of which you may be able to solve 1 -2 and that should be fine. 1-2 wrong questions wont change much though you shouldn't waste too much time on them. Best would be, of course, to develop comfort in both topics. Also, work on basics as well as advanced concepts. Here are some posts that will give you some advanced ideas: https://anaprep.com/blogs/
