The interview session last 30-45 minutes and was pretty corvesational, they gave me a lot of advices on how should I act in NUS MBA to fully optimizes the NUS MBA resources. 1. Can you tell us about yourself?
2. Why NUS MBA?
3. Your industry is very niche (construction), how do you plan to utilize NUS resources?
4. How NUS MBA can support you goals?
5. Challenges in career?
6. In what stage are you applying for that Government Scholarship (I'm an awardee)?
7. What are the selection criterias in that scholarship tracks?
8. Have you worked with international clients?
9. I see you write writing as your hobby, can you give me a quick description on what are you writing and what is the last thing you wrote?
10. I heard that your scholarship policy has been changed, does it still require you to go back directly to indonesia? Do you have to go back to your fambiz immediately after graduation?

Profile:
Score: 675
Background: B.Com (Hons) DU, 8.0 CGPA
Work/Internship: Deloitte Offer Letter
Other: 99.3 CAT Percentile
Interview Experience:
Interviewer: Current Student (2nd Year)
Duration: 25–30 minutes
Tone: Conversational but rigorous on "Why NUS?"
Questions Asked: > 1. Walk me through your resume. 2. Why did you choose Finance over management (given the CAT score)? 3. What is your Plan B if you don't land a job in Singapore? 4. How will you contribute to the NUS student community?
Reflections: I felt the interview went well, but in hindsight, my answers on "Plan B" might have been too focused on returning to India, which may have signaled a lack of commitment to the Singapore market.
Next Steps for You
Request Feedback: While NUS rarely gives individual feedback, a polite email to the admissions office thanking them and asking for "general areas of improvement" occasionally yields a one-sentence hint.
Focus on ISB: Given your background, you are a prime candidate for the ISB Young Leaders Program (YLP). ISB tends to value high CAT/GMAT scores more heavily than NUS, which places a massive premium on "Singapore job-market readiness."

Interview was conducted over zoom for ~30 minutes with NUS's assistant dean and another alumni from China who previously has a NUS MBA scholarship. It felt slightly harder than the typical MBA interview as there were a few gotcha questions that required thinking on the feet and some wittiness.
Questions asked:
1) Tell me more about yourself - I was prompted to describe more than just my professional experience but also who I was outside of work
2) Why MBA and how it related to your goals? - I said I forsaw myself being a CTO/CPO in a consumer technology company
3) Have you researched into what a CTO does?
4) Can you describe some innovative product in the market and what problem did it solve? (I was asked this question due to my background in design) - I talked about the Apple Vision Pro and Japanese Shinkansen
5) However, the Apple Vision pro is not selling well, as a product manager, how would you deal with that?
6) How do you view Linkedin as a platform that is declining in relevance? - I mentioned about social anxiety and potential toxicity by aggrieved/unfairly retrenched employees
7) You listed empathy in your essay as a core value, can you name a global leader that epitomizes this trait? - I got stuck a bit here as most modern global leaders don't really show this side of them in public but in hindsight, there are past servant leaders like JFK, MLK Jr
8) Using 3 words, describe yourself - I chose analytical, empathetic and excellent
9) Would you describe Elon Musk as an empathetic leader?
10) What about Donald Trump? Do you think his decisions are good?
11) Do you have any questions for us?
I rate my performance 7/10, questions were asked in a rather pushy tone at the start but gradually became more casual.

Had my interview today, was very conversational. One interviewer was from the admissions committee and one was an alumnus.
Questions:
Please introduce yourself and help us understand the work you have done so far, your achievements
Why MBA here in Singapore, is there any specific reason, how does that fit into what you are planning to do next
You might be one of the more experienced students in the Full-time cohort. How do you envisage yourself with people who are less experienced than you? Have you considered EMBA?
Have you had a major setback in your career and what did you do with it? You have a clear goal post MBA, have you ever thought of a career in Singapore or a branch office in Singapore?
Opened up for any questions I had. Before ending the session, I was asked if I had applied to any other schools.

My interview format was pretty simple
1)General goal related questions - "Mid-term goal" , " Long term goal"
2)Why MBA? Why NUS?
3)Resume Specific questions about achievement / promotion
4)Essay Specific question
5)Scholarship question (Why do you deserve the scholarship - if you’ve applied for any of it)
6)Industry specific question ( This could be either about the industry you’re in or the one you’re looking to pivot to)
7)General Business Acumen question (For me it was "who’s your favourite business leader outside of Asia?")
8)Any questions for the interviewers
My interviewers were skilled - 1 of them was an adcom member, the other an alumnus. The interview was easy going and felt like a simple conversation.
Wishing you all the best for you interview.

A bit late to this, but I can share my experience which seems to be far different from what others are going through.
Submitted my application a week before the end of Round 1.
- Indian male
- 690 GMAT
- Engineering undergrad (very average gpa)
- 7+ years experience in software operations (onboarding/implementation/project execution)
A week later, I received a Zoom invitation to interview.
The interview was set for the 1st week of November and conducted by two Admissions committee members in a conference call.
- A very short interview, probably did not last the complete 30 minutes.
- Wide range of questions touching on describing my work, a bit about myself, how I handle certain types of situations, my goals post the MBA.
- Most of the questions you should prepare from beforehand already as they are very standard business school interview questions. Have stories that are malleable to multiple question types. Use the STAR method to answer the questions as they will help you come across as a professional.
- Be careful with what you say. The interviewers will latch on to bits of information that you feel is harmless but they may ask you to expand on it later in the conversation. So if you want to casually mention a project that you worked on involving some cool tech, be ready to back that up when they probe you.
- I made the mistake on not asking questions, although it did not impact the outcome, I feel it is important to have some pertinent questions to your career goals and expectations from the school.
In the middle of November (approx. 2 weeks later) I received an email letting me know of my waitlist status.
I was told a final decision will be provided to me within 30 days.
Within a week, I received an offer letter for admission!
So what I would say is if you haven't received anything yet, don't worry, keep your hopes up. The most important thing the school looks for is whether they can land you a job after your MBA. So it doesn't matter what you've done or what your background is, as long as you can share a clear, realistic goal that the school also feels they can help you achieve.
Best of luck to everyone.

Hi
I got interviewed recently. There was an adcom rep and an alumni.
The following questions were discussed:
1. Tell us about yourself.
2. The biggest challenge you faced as a leader. (I have decent leadership experience in 2 of the last companies I worked for).
3. What are the biggest challenges in my industry.
4. Why NUS now and what do I bring to the school.
5. We also had general discussions on consumption trends in my industry.
6. What is the challenge I expect to face if I am part of the NUS MBA cohort as a student/candidate. This came from the fact that I have more experience and will be coming back to school after more than a decade.
7. Which companies I admire the most in my industry.
The tonality was quite conversational and both the interviewers were very polite and friendly. They asked if I had questions for them and I asked about what precise value diverse profiles bring to the cohort (non-engineer/banker/tech, etc.).
The interview lasted around 25 mins.

I remember being interview by the head of the experiential learning and the adcom people. It's like a conversation
- Tell me about yourself
- Why NUS MBA?
- What do you want to learn from NUS? (I said leadership)
- Tell me about the leader in your own company you admire (I mention my boss and Covid-19)
- Oh, you shared about Covid-19. Tell me how you have helped your company overcome obstacles during such time
After that, the second interviewer started asking me what I want to achieve from the NUS MBA with digital transformation, as I have achieved a lot. I said I want to learn how to sell technology solutions.
I want to note that this is just a brief summary of the interview. The interviewers were very nice and it was actually this experience that made me choose NUS
