There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
I applied to NYU Langone Program 5 days after the application deadline. (Langone is still accepting application on "space available basis") I believe I have a good application. How much negative impact can the late application have on my admit ?
The late application could all but kill your chances of admission. It's all guesswork unless you're inside NYU, but my guess is that you'd essentially get grouped into the the waitlist category. They'd review your appliation after all those that were submitted ontime, and they wouldn't be savign any space for you. Sorry, but that's the way I see it. Good luck and let us know how it pans out.
Agreed...waitlist category at best, unless they have a less than expected application amount.
However, you never know what to expect, many firms are cutting back on educational reimbursements, and loans are still difficult to get..so many accepted might bail....
I believe the last apps are kept as reserve in case any of the admitted candidates migrate. So do expect an interview call at least and then keep your fingers crossed!
