Sarah,

Just a hunch here but I don't think many people pass this program up to go to another b-school. This is a part time program. There are only a few part time programs that are considered on par with NYU and they are in other states. If someone turns this program down it is probably not b/c they are going to another school. The only exception I could see here would be if one of these people got taken off the waitlist of FT program.

Also, all those people listed have already paid their deposits. I believe most of them will matriculate. If something were to change at work for some of these people, I could see them not attending.

Hummm... Didn't think about all those other possibilities... But trying to stay positive...

Has anyone ever been accepted to their second option at NYU (like weeknights instead of week-end)?

I just had a positive thought. If you look on the Stern website, it states that 446 students were admitted last fall including Westchester. However, if I'm not mistaken, Fall 2007 is the first semester for Westchester? If that's the case, then wouldn't Fall 2007 Westchester + Washington Square be > 446?

Just an optimistic hypothesis...

Why would that be more than 446? It should be about the same. I don't follow your logic. Both number are in Fall semesters, so they should be the same. In Spring 2007, there were about half of this figure.

I'm just taking a guess, this isn't based on any data that I received from admissions, but if Fall 2006 was 446 just at Washington Square, I would imagine that classrooms and such can handle ABOUT this much. So with the additional capacity and resources at Westchester, one could hypothesize that this # would be more. Again, this is only guess.

Also, I found somewhere online in the Fall of 2007 was 370 students, so there's nothing to say that it will be exactly 440ish.

Oh ok, I apologize. For some reason, I thought it was starting this fall. Disregard the previous statements then.
