Sorry to hear that. :(

I remember that you hoped to improve on your GMAT scores. NYU has always said that it's your best score that matters, so hopefully you can hit your goal and find luck in the Fall.

Interestingly, the count of admitted students has decreased from 297 to 295. That means, at least two people either couldn't pay the tuition by the registration deadline or withdrew from the program.

I noticed that as well...thought it was a little strange too.

Sorry to hear about your news, HTW. It really sucks how you were jerked along all this time. It is certainly not the end of the world though. Hopefully you can join us starting in the fall!

Wow, still no word yet, eh? That is just unfair...but I guess an admit would ease your frustration  . Best of luck to you!

https://w4.stern.nyu.edu/admissions/langone/exceptionalstudents.cfm?doc_id=5101

NYU Langone PT Enrollment:
Spring 2007: 282 (includes Westchester cohort)
Fall 2007: 456 (includes Westchester cohort)

Looking like Spring 2008 is going to top out b/w 290-300, including Westchester.

Thanks.

Why did I think that the class size was bigger for the part timers? Interesting. Good Luck everyone.

Hi everyone, I am planning on applying for NYU Langone Fall 08. The deadline is May 15th. I've yet to take the GMAT (planning on taking it end of March, first week of April). I plan on allocating 2-3 weeks for the essays. Does this sound OK in therms of timing or should I move up GMAT and start on my essays right away?

I would say to start brainstorming for essay #3 now. It took me several months of thought plus one or two utter failures at being "creative" before I settled on a somewhat traditional essay to describe myself. GMAT is important but don't underestimate the time and attention quality essays require. Also, don't let the short word count be deceiving; the essays would have been much easier to write if the WC was, say, 500 words instead. Just my experience...Best of luck to ya!
