@ azzi, did you have any trouble scheduling your interview? When I go to the website to choose an interview time there is only one slot and available and it's on a day/time that i cannot make.
@ onlyneed1, I think an interview is actually a great sign. It shows they are very interested and from what I have read in other forums from past years, there is a high acceptance rate of interviewed waitlisters. Did you submit additional material after being placed on the waitlist? How long did you wait to submit it?
Thanks parttime. I did send them an update. I waited a week and then sent them an email letting them know that I was still interested and informing admissions about recent developments at work.
@onlyneed1, well I scheduled the interview last week. Probably there were more slots available then. Still, all interviews were for day time 10:30am, 1 or 3:45pm. Not a single convenient time, so in the end I scheduled for 8 Aug, 3:45pm. We'll see how it goes. Good luck to you!
Can anyone who was accepted see how many people are in the online database? it would give some kind of idea to the waitlisters how many spots are left.
interview done. waiting to hear back. if anyone else gets invited to interview i highly recommend visiting accepted.com to review questions from past interviews. i'd say atleast half the questions i already knew about from seeing posts from previous interviewees.
@parttime2011 - I know its been spoken of in previous years, but I have not seen an online database for admitted students. The New Student Tour directs admitted students to join the Langone Fall 2011 Facebook group.
@coding - Thanks. I submitted an additional letter of recommendation a week after being placed on the waitlist. I also submitted a letter of continued interest really demonstrating my passion for the program but they didn't receive it until two weeks after I was placed on the waitlist. I was then admitted three days later.
I graduated magna cum laude in industrial engineering and have 2 years of full time work experience in the insurance industry as a financial analyst. I have also had several internships both domestic and abroad. My GMAT was very low (600) but I tried to demonstrate the my engineering degree and finance experience require quantitative abilities. I made my essays and letters very personal and tried to really prove to the adcom that the school is a perfect fit for me as i am for the school.
I just got accepted as well. Problem now is, I have option to go to Baruch without any loan, or NYU with a huge loan. Anyone having similar doubts? thanks. Ajay

Great ajay ! Congratulations !! did you also send some updates after being waitlisted? Also please give some details on your profile.
No, I did not send any additional info. I was called in for an interview to talk about background, goals, leadership, etc. I thought I did just about okay, but I guess it was good enough. GMAT: 710 Work Ex:12yrs in software for semiconductor industry. Engineering undergrad from India with quite a low GPA ~ 2.2 or so. Excellent essays and decent recommendations.
