I keep going back and forth with whether or not to write something for the optional fourth essay on the Langone application.
My main concern is my low quant score (39). I did well overall (670), but I'm not sure if that's something that I should address in the optional essay?
If you are really concerned about your quant score, you can write up something that could reflect your analytical skills in essay 4. But if that has been addressed already in other places, I would not worry about it too much given your overall GMAT score.
I am also from Philly and shooting for the 5/15 deadline too.
I am still struggling/fine tuning on essay 1,2,3...
ukyo - let's keep in touch if we both get accepted! If you're planning on staying in Philly (I am until at least next spring), then it wouldn't be a bad idea to try and get in on the same core group.
I opted to forego the 4th essay... I didn't want to repeat something already in my app and didn't want to sound desperate. Plus, I feel my background as a financial analyst and undergrad in finance should eliminate any concerns over my quant ability (I hope).
Good luck with your app... I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
