the numbers are certainly increasing! Congrats to all the new admits. Striker, you will find more weekenders in the facebook page. What's your core preference?

Finished up the registration process yesterday, submitted all the req. Back when I was living in Boston, tuition at Harvard/BU evening schools were in the neighborhood of 1000-1500/*course*, haven't things changed a bit.. :)

anyone from NJ suburbs? I live not far from Princeton.

Hey there! Just wanted to find out if anyone has been successful registering for classes via ALBERT? Is registration allowed only after our cheques/payments for tuition have cleared?

I sent in my cheque last week but no luck registering.

Yup you can only register once the tuition payment has been received, that's why I used the E-check and just provided the confirmation #. My problem is the KROLL verification taking forever. They started the process on 6/21 but it hasn't cleared yet, and when I emailed the adcom I only got a generic response...

Isn't that we choose core groups already?
If assigned we still need to register for classes via ALBERT ourselves?

ks2010 - May be the note below helps - Admission stats from a couple of years ago posted by a different member in this thread.

Timeline facts:

~ 15% of admits notified in first 4 weeks.
~ 50% of admits notified by 2nd week of July.
~ 90% of admits notified by August.
~ 65% (290) of admits notified between July 4th and Aug 3rd, making July the busiest month.


The Timeline:

May 15: Deadline passes / App review begins
May 23: First GMAT club member admitted (checkitout)
June 19: 75 students admitted (according to the admitted student d-base)
June 27: 108 admitted
June 27: First GMAT club member rejected (RCReddy)
July 04: 130 admitted
July 13: 230 admitted (huge jump!)
July 22: 262 admitted
July 24: 288 admitted
July 25: 306 admitted
Aug 03: 420 admitted
Aug 09: Some waitlisted folks get in.
Aug 09: 440 admitted
Aug 17: 447 admitted
Aug 20: Several reject notices went out.

Note 1: It takes a few days for an admit to pay the deposit and show up in the database.
Note 2: Data is from the gmat club ‘NYU Langone Fall 2007’ thread

Observations and assumptions:

- Most of those who are admitted in the first 4 weeks have super strong profiles.
- Having a high gmat score does not mean you’ll know sooner. Aurora73 gets in on Jul 18th with a 760 gmat.
- Submitting early or late seems to have no effect on when you get notification.
- Notifications typically come on Tuesdays and Fridays (needs confirmation).
- 2 gmat clubbers get off the waitlist in early August.

hardikrs: there are some others as well from the central/south NJ area. feel free to PM me.

I have registered through the student tour page, not through the separate (ALBERT?) system. Now, the former meant that I indicated my core group preferences and associated choices, and submitted them. Is that all there is to it? When will we know the core group confirmation?

I also just got an email this morning stating that my verification has been completed successfully and officially welcoming me to the program. I had started the Kroll verification process on 7/6.

Are you international or is your undergrad school abroad?Because that's my situation and my verification is taking awfully long as well.

Hi Nick,

I am a foreign national and did my undergrad abroad. I received a request for my undergrad marksheets on Jun 24th which I sent to them on Jun 30th. I had submitted consulate notarized marksheets to NYU but it still took Kroll a month for the verification. I am not aware of any other steps that might be taking longer.
