Hi - Sloan Fellows programs are looking for experience, leadership and program fit for your goals. All other factors are important, but these are the priority.

Hi @aringo Jen T
Hope you are well
I am 23F aerospace engineer from PEC (Tier 1.5?) where my gpa was 3/4

I worked around 8 months in sales, and 4 months in an AI manufacturing startup as product management

My GMAT is around the higher 600s in mocks so im expecting to get something similar in my real one.

I am not really aiming for a top MBA right now but i want to work towards it. I plan on doing a masters in economics in Europe first . What would your suggestion be in terms of what i should aim for GMAT/work ex etc?

Looking to switch to product management at a good international firm and gain international exposure.

Would it be justified to target places like ESCP/HEC, because the profiles they had are usually with very good GPAs and PORs & management experience

As of right now most top MBA programs have an average GMAT around 645-675 - so since you have time - try 675+; typically MBA programs will want 3 years of WE prior to MBA with leadership and growth - so if you get the MS Econ try to get 1.5 - 2 years of experience after.

Yes - ESCP/HEC are good - can also consider schools in Spain - IE/IESE/ESADE, Bocconi in Italy --- Any international experience/exposure/clients? Then INSEAD can be added. You could consider top UK schools too... but not sure if you are open?

Yes - absolutely! You have a strong STEM major, that will count too. Strong Masters GPA will help as well.

Thanks a lot Aringo!

Yes I’m open, however, getting good job opportunities is a bit concerning to me. language differences and my IT background + male.

I understand and that’s why, as you have time a stronger GMAT score is better - GPA isnt the most important factor as curriculums/programs vary across countries - so GMAT can level that out. And CEMS MiM is a strong option with great international benefits.
