From the first 3 dozen = 36 cookies, total CC (chocolate chip) = 12.
\(\frac{1}{2}\) of the rest baked is CC.
Statement 1,
Total baked = 5 dozens = 60
From the first 3 dozen's batch, we got total 12 CC cookies.
now from the remaining (60-36) = 24 cookies, total CC cookies are \((24 * \frac{1}{2})=12\) cookies.
Total CC cookies = \(12 + 12 = 24.\)
Statement 1 is enough.
Statement 2,
Suppose total cookies = \(x\)
So, total CC cookies. = \(\frac{2x}{5}\)
Thus,
\(12 + \frac{(x-36)}{2} = \frac{2x}{5}\)
\(=> x= 60\)
so total CC cookies \(= \frac{2}{5} * 60 = 24\).
Statement 2 is enough.
