I am thinking Hillary takes Ohio but Barack takes Texas. Hillary says she is in it through the race but then she does a Romney and drops out shortly after making such a statement.

Realclearpolitics.com polling average has Hillary up in both states. Their polling average has been mostly dead on in predicting winners - so we'll see.

Hillary may lead in both states, but the lead wont be significant. So, at the end of today, the candidates may still be close. But this would give Obama an edge. Thats cuz he may win a majority of the remaining states.
So, if Hillary has to stay in race, she has to win by a huge margin.

BTW, i m in Ohio and the Obama campaign is much more visible than Hillary. (Just wanted to add that note; am not implying that this will translate into votes)

Hillary will likely win Ohio based on popular vote and delegates. However, while she has a fairly strong chance of winning Texas based on popular vote, it is almost guaranteed that she will lose based on delegates. Delegates in Texas are set up based on previous voting results and have left the state stacked towards areas favorable to Obama (i.e., those that are largely African American).

My feeling is that if Hillary wins Texas by popular vote but loses it by delegate count (the likely outcome), she will still stick around for Pennsylvania. If she loses it by both, she will drop out.

I'm guessing Hillary could win both and stick until Pennsylvania. Though I'm not sure if this is good for the Dems as McCain is already focusing on the main election... Almost all the presidents who won in the last few decades won their party's primaries first.

Hilary!!!

OK. Hilary's win makes this race a little more interesting. I suspect Obama will still win the nomination though. But more interesting political news is emanating from the republican side. John McCain, how old is he? 90? has been EXPOSED by this NYT article.

https://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/21/us/po ... ref=slogin

Wonder how he is able to perform clinton-esque feats, at his age, in the middle of a presidential campaign? Oh, the potency of those little blue pills...
