If you thinking about working in industry, then you do not actually need a PhD, a master degree in IS/BA or top MBA will make you very competitive in the market.

as I told you, PhD degree is a major shift in your career & lifestyle, and thus you should go for a PhD only if academia is truly your passion.

I just wanted to update that I have also received a $10k a year fellowship that is renewable for up to 4 years and is in addition to my stipend offer of $17,400 a year (it is paid over 12 months, not 9). This will make things very livable for me and I look forward to it.

I found out I likely would have gotten an offer from the University of North Carolina Greensboro and Louisiana State University. I am very happy that I decided not to give up just because of my GMAT score. I know the market may be different when I graduate but I will do the best I can in a field I love. :)
