I am wondering why are you comparing which is more suitable - MBA or CFA. One is perfectly able to do both. It is perfectly achievable to complete the CFA before going for an MBA. CFA teaches you the theory, the principles , while an MBA is designed to build on you leadership development and character.

CFA is more suited if you're (planning to be) in investment management.

However, if you're (planning to be) in investment banking, MBA is more suited for you.

The point of argument is not only in terms of the curriculum (MBA versus CFA) but also on return on investment and return on time. CFA takes 4 years to have while an MBA takes two years (full time)
