Hi Rich,

Thanks the quick feedback. To answer your questions:

1) What Schools are you planning to apply to? - I plan to apply to ISB,IESE,IE at the moment.
2) When are you planning to apply? - I plan to apply to ISB in Round 1 by Sept'16 (for 2017 intake)
3) If you do retest, when are you planning to take your next Official GMAT? - Im planning to book a date in the last week of March to give me enough time to get by essays and recommendations ready before R1.

For quants i am planning to subscribe to the GMAT Club tests/question bank and complete it.
I am not sure how i can significantly improve my Verbal.
Do you recommend i buy the GMAT enhance report to ascertain my core weak areas in verbal and then plan ahead?

Thanks

Hi Aditya,

With a V28, you almost certainly lost points in all 3 Verbal categories (SC, RC and CR), so purchasing the ESR is probably not necessary. By extension, you'll need to work on all 3 areas (content, Tactics, pattern-matching, etc.). Thankfully, you've given yourself plenty of time to continue studying. Given the work that you've done already, you could easily be ready to retest in 1-2 months, depending on how quickly you learned/practiced the proper Tactics.

1) How many hours do you think you can study during a typical week?
2) Have you booked your next Official Test Date yet?

Hi Rich,

I will be able to study for 25-30 hours a week - 3 hours each on weekdays and an additional 6-7 hours on weekends.
I plan to take a test once every Sunday and review it on the same day.

I haven't booked the GMAT yet. I plan to book it once I gain more confidence, maybe within a months time :)

Hi Aditya,

Given the timeline that you're considering, when do you THINK you'll end up retaking the GMAT? Without a formal Test Date, you might run the risk of pushing back your next Test Date again and again. As I mentioned, with the right resources and a concerted effort, you could conceivably retest in 1+ month.

Hi!

I plan to take the e-gmat verbal online course in order to improve my verbal score.
Also i plan to simultaneously subscribe to the gmat club tests (to improve quants score from 48 to 50/51)

Would you recommend the package course worth $199? Is it worth? I have been reading some good reviews online about it!

Thanks

Hi Aditya,

However you choose to proceed, and whichever materials you choose to practice with, you have to be open to learning and practice new Tactics. If you're just going to continue to work through practice questions in the exact same ways as you always have, then you'll be less likely to improve your skills and more likely to score at the same level that you did before.

Most GMAT Companies offer some type of free materials (practice problems, Trial Accounts, videos, etc.) that you can use to 'test out' a product before you buy it. We have a variety of those resources at out website (www.empowergmat.com). I suggest that you take advantage of all of them then choose the one that best matches your personality, timeline and budget.

Rich
