This is interesting, DisgruntledShark. In light of your other recent post, are you sure you are not bent on achieving a perfect score? In any case, I have read debriefs from members who have earned a total score in the upper 700s on official practice tests, but I will admit to not having paid as much attention to the corresponding scaled scores. I know for a fact that in the past, I hit the 50 mark on Practice Test 2 in Quant, but that was a few years ago, before the newer (shorter) iteration of the test. Please post the results of a perfect run if you do a follow-up simulation. My guess is that if there is indeed a scoring cap on the scaled score, it would be more in line with the older "potential score" charts for paper-based tests, in which you might see, for instance, that missing 0 questions or up to 3 questions would yield the same section score. Sometimes even a score range would be given in place of an exact figure.
