The GMAT test writers will shortly be releasing new GMAT guides for 2015(Amazon gives a date of 8 July 2014). The bad news is that all of the questions in the guides are identical to the older editions. I compared about 80 to 90% of the questions in the quantitative/math section of the two guides, and they are identical to the OG13 and OG Quant Review 2nd edition.
The only thing new is the ability to access all of the questions in an online question bank format that will allow one to create practice tests. The online question bank consists of the same questions that are present in the two guides. It is unclear at present if the online access would allow one to rank questions by difficulty, and also be able to do timed practice tests. I will review this feature once it is made public.

Thanks for sharing! I have been waiting for the release for a little while and pre-ordered the book on Amazon.
I will compare the questions when the book is released.
P.S. Usually GMAC updates only a small portion of the questions (e.g. 15% - as you remember from the last guide edition; it was something around that). I really wish they would add more difficulty/hard questions. We have compared the OG questions to the GMAT Prep ones in terms of difficulty and the results were not great - very few hard questions in the OG: analysis-of-most-difficult-question-categories-tags-in-forum-145518.html

They have really decided not to add anything valuable this time. I think they should have just skipped printing these new guides, and perhaps just offered the online access to the 900 questions in the official guide.
I personally think they need to add a bunch of hard questions and also add easy and medium questions, but from recent administrations. It is not that difficult, especially when we know that a whole bunch of official GMAT questions from recent years are floating in the internet, including on this forum, people just don't know which ones they are. I am complaining a bit here, but I also commend GMAC for releasing GMATPrep Question Pack 1 and Exam Pack 1, which definitely are closer to the real exam. This takes the pressure away from students looking for illegal questions. In fact, if we look at LSAT, they have done a great job by releasing tons of tests, and the market for poor quality tests written by test prep companies is non-existent. I personally think GMAC needs to go in the same direction.
As for the difficulty level of the OG questions, I do want to point out that the percentile ratings on GMATClub is highly skewed, where even difficult questions show up as medium. The students on this forum who are attempting these questions are self-selected, typically motivated and putting a lot of effort in their studies. I do agree that the overall level of OG questions is not that difficult, but it is not as bad as the GMATClub analysis shows. That is just my opinion.
