Hello GMATClub,
So I am entering the next phase of my studies and I am trying to understand two things here:
1. How to use OG effectively? - I guess I have read enough about it on the forum and heard from GMATNinja but any inputs/links will still be appreciated.
2. How much one needs to study from OG? I know for a fact that the world says OG questions are limited and says they need to be effectively utilised. But I am asking this question to understand what will be the best strategy for someone who has about a month's time and can devote 3-4 daily on weekday and more hours on weekend. OG20 then OG19 or any other sequence? How about OG vs Review Guides?
Now some facts about phase 1:
These are the stats from my error log (past 3 months):
DS: 80% accuracy. 500 Questions.
PS: 86% accuracy. 800 Questions.
SC: 70% accuracy. 1000 Questions.
CR: 78% accuracy. 650 Questions.
RC: Let's say I have solved about 40-50 RCs. I don't have numbers for it. Sorry.
Since these questions are attempted throughout the day under various settings (home, office etc) so I can say we can consider them to be 90% accurate if not 100%.
These are mostly non OG questions and are almost a mix of all the sources.
Suggestions on phase 2 preparation will be appreciated.

Well, I was dumb and cheap enough not to use the official guide for my preparation. I completely ignored it because I did not have access to one.
It makes the most sense to use it in tandem with your course, books, etc. unless you are scoring very high or learn very differently, basically for the 90% of the “normal” people, I wouldn’t use it by itself as a standalone teaching resource.
The greatest value is of course the verbal questions since they are retired questions from past exams and the second most valuable piece is harder questions. You can find the harder/hardest questions in the OG directory.
That’s 3 cents for ya
